> Detailed Query: Hello doctor,While searching on the net i found u to dicuss my problem.I have a nephew of 2&half years old,named Danish a very bright & naughty child.He use to have chronic constipation on and off but nothing works. Yesterday all of sudden settled in his mother\'s lap become pale unconcious followed by a dusky blue colour of upper body lips and mouth, no respiration no heart beat as ichecked with stethoscope ,i lie him flat and began the cardiac massage and mouth to mouth breathing, the spell was for 2 to 3 mintues than all of sudden he cried and we all feel he just come back as a miracle of God.Was it apneaic spell ,a sudden cardiac arest, epilepsy how much it should be taken seriosly,wat investigation to be done. waiting anxiously for reply the kids family and his aunt.

www.doctorchild.comthe spell as u know was like a cyanotic spell, but a possibility of choing cant be ruled out. he will require a detailed ENT cardiac and neurological examination. get a ECG EEG and heart doppler done. check BP, all may b normal. at times i had seen such cases with rare coronary artery anomalies with ALCAPA syndrome.
